10 Telangana districts record temperatures above 46℃ on May 24

Heat conditions continued to intensify across Telangana, with maximum temperatures crossing 46℃ in 10 districts on Sunday (May 24, 2026), according to data released by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS). 

Dahegaon in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad was the hottest location in the State recording a maximum temperature of 46.5℃. This was followed by 46.4℃ in Dandepally (Mancherial) and Maddirala (Suryapet); 46.3℃ in Aswaraopeta (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Enkuru (Khammam), Eturunagaram (Mulugu) and Munugode (Nalgonda); 46.2℃ in Damera (Hanumakonda) and Eligaid (Peddapalli), and 46.1℃ in Mallapur (Jagtial).

Temperatures between 45℃ and 46℃

The districts which recorded temperatures between 45℃ and 46℃ are 45.9℃ in Palimela (Jayashankar Bhupalpally), Seerole (Mahabubabad) and Kuntala (Nirmal); 45.8℃ in Nallabelly (Warangal); 45.7℃ in Karimnagar Rural (Karimnagar) and Mendora (Nizamabad); 45.6℃in Bibinagar (Yadadri Bhuvangiri); 45.5℃ in Bejjanki (Siddipet); 45.4℃ in Chilpur (Jangaon) and 45.2℃ in Vemulawada (Rajanna Sircilla).

Temperatures between 40℃ and 45℃

The districts which recorded temperatures between 40℃ and 45℃ are 44.7℃ in Bhoraj (Adilabad); 44.5℃ in Banswada (Kamareddy); 43.7℃ in Narsapur (Medak); 43.1℃ in Abdullapurmet (Rangareddy); 42.7℃ in Golkonda (Hyderabad); 42.4℃ in Uppal (Medchal Malkajgiri); 42.1℃ in Ameenapur (Sangareddy); 41.4℃ in Yalal (Vikarabad); 40.8℃ in Vangoor (Nagarkurnool) and 40.7℃ in Gandeed (Mahabubnagar).

The districts which recorded temperatures below 40℃ are 38.6℃ in Krishna (Narayanpet); 38.3℃ in Revally (Wanaparthy) and 37.4℃ in Dharur (Jogulamba Gadwal).
