Special trains to clear Deepavali rush

In anticipation of the heavy passenger rush during Deepavali, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of special express trains between Bengaluru Cantonment and Kalaburagi.

According to Chief Public Relations Officer, SWR, Manjunath Kanamadi, the first special service, Train No 06203 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Express, will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 7.40 p.m. on Saturday and reach Kalaburagi at 7.30 a.m. the following day.

The return service, Train No 06204 Kalaburagi-Yesvantpur Express, will leave Kalaburagi at 9.35 a.m. on Sunday and arrive at Yesvantpur at 8.30 p.m. the same day.

Similarly, another special service, Train No 06207 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Express, will run on Monday, leaving Bengaluru at 7.40 p.m. and reaching Kalaburagi at 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday.

In the return direction, Train No 06208 will leave Kalaburagi at 9.35 a.m. and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 8.30 p.m. the same day.

A third service, Train No 06209 Bengaluru Cantonment-Kalaburagi Express, will leave Bengaluru at 10.10 p.m. on Tuesday and reach Kalaburagi at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The return service, Train No 06210, will leave Kalaburagi at 10.45 a.m. on Wednesday and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 10.30 p.m. the same day.

All the special trains will halt at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir and Shahabad.

Each service will consist of 22 coaches, including 20 Sleeper Class and two Second Class luggage-cum-Divyangjan coaches.

South Western Railway has urged passengers to make use of these additional services to ensure a convenient and comfortable journey during the festive season.
