Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday (October 17, 2025) said the BJP government was committed to the welfare and holistic development of farmers, the underprivileged, youth, and women.

Mr. Saini said the government’s policies were transparent, its intentions sincere, and that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, development efforts in the State were progressing at three times the previous pace. The government continued to work with the ethos of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.”

He was speaking in Panchkula, at a State-level function to mark the one year of the present Haryana government. He said the Scheduled Castes, who had long been deprived of their rightful opportunities, were now being empowered through increased participation in government jobs, panchayat, and local body elections.

80 new colleges

The Chief Minister said the State government had placed farmers at the heart of its policies. The government had prioritised access to higher education by establishing a college every 20 km across the State. Over the past 11 years, the government had opened 80 new government colleges, including 30 exclusively for girls.

Mr. Saini added that “Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana” had been launched to provide economic and social security to women and girls. Beginning November, eligible women from economically weaker sections would receive monthly financial assistance of ₹2,100.

Asserting that industry was the backbone of our economy, he said to accelerate industrial growth, the State had developed a robust ecosystem promoting “Ease of Doing Business.” As a result of various incentive schemes, 12,20,872 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) had been registered in the State over the past 11 years, attracting investments worth ₹28,377.59 crore.

The Chief Minister said that during his recent visit to Japan, nine Japanese companies expressed interest in investing approximately ₹5,000 crore in Haryana and signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to that effect.
