A 23-year-old man was killed after a private school van rammed into his two-wheeler on Balagere-Panathur Road, Bengaluru, on Friday (October 10, 2025). The deceased has been identified as Chiranjeevi, a local resident.

According to the police, the incident occurred when the school van, reportedly speeding, hit Chiranjeevi’s two-wheeler from behind, causing him to fall onto the road and die on the spot. The van then went on to crash into an electric pole.

There were several schoolchildren on board at the time of the accident; however, all of them escaped unhurt, police officials confirmed.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the van driver was driving at a high speed and lost control of the vehicle.

The driver has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
