Alleged robbery at Kundannur firm: seven arrested; ₹20 lakh recovered

The Maradu police have arrested seven people in connection with the alleged robbery at a steel trading firm at Kundannur.

The police recovered ₹20 lakh of the ₹81 lakh allegedly stolen from the shop owned by Subin Joseph of Thoppumpady, from a car belonging to an accomplice of the accused in Thrissur.

The arrested are M.S. Saji, 43, of Vaduthala, Nikhil Narendranath, 43, of SRM Road, Kochi, Asif Iqbal, 43, of Cheranalloor, Bushara, 47, of Palluruthy, P.V. Vishnu, 30, Nihas, 26, and Arjun, 32, all three from Nattika in Thrissur.

“Five of them were arrested and remanded on Thursday and the remaining two on Friday. The accused were produced in court and were remanded,” the police said.
