The rich and wealthy people in the State must give back to the society by providing proper education to the students from poor family background, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said.

Mr. Naidu was addressing a gathering after inaugurating Nandha Gokulam Life School (NGLS) of the Chinta Sasidhar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Vishwa Samudra Group, at Edagali village of Venkatachalam mandal in Nellore district on Friday.

Mr. Naidu said the NGLS was a socio-economic initiative aligned to the State’s Zero Poverty – P4 (Public Private People Partnership) programme to uplift vulnerable families and create a wealthy, healthy and happy Andhra Pradesh.

He said many people had become rich when the government introduced the PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode of development. “Now, they should come forward to help the poor under the P4 programme,” he urged.

The NGLS aims to transform the lives by educating poor children to make them employable and responsible citizens. The free residential school for underprivileged boys, anchored on holistic life-skills, contextual learning, and vocational readiness, provides free education to 500 underprivileged (high IQ) students.

Earlier, Nellore Collector Himanshu Shukla presented Udayagiri food cutlery to the Chief Minister, while welcoming him at a helipad near Nandha Gokulam. Impressed with the carved wooden items, Mr. Naidu suggested the Collector to promote the local artisans and their exceptional products.
