The Tamil Nadu government has decided to recruit 2,708 Assistant Professors for various Government Arts and Science Colleges in the State. A statement from Higher Education Minister, Govi. Chezhiaan, stated that recruitment to these posts would be made through the Teachers Recruitment Board. In the past four years, 37 new colleges were started and this year alone, 16 new colleges were established with an additional students’ intake of 15,000, necessitating recruitment of teachers.
