Former Minister Jogi Ramesh booked for ‘obstructing’ Excise officials in Ibrahimpatnam

The Ibrahimpatnam police on Wednesday registered a case against former Minister Jogi Ramesh for allegedly obstructing Excise Department officials from discharging their duties. Police said Mr. Ramesh allegedly reached a bar in Ibrahimpatnam on Tuesday while Prohibition and Excise officials were investigating a suspected spurious liquor racket. Based on a complaint, a case was registered against Mr. Ramesh and his followers, and an investigation is underway, said West Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police N.S.V.K. Durga Rao.
