Veteran RSS leader and former MLC K. Narahari died in Bengaluru on Wednesday (October 8, 2025). He was 93.

A mechanical engineer by profession, Mr. Narahari served as lecturer in BMS College of Engineering for 24 years. He also served as MLC from teacher’s constituency for 18 years.

A dyed-in-the-wool RSS member, Narahari caught the attention of senior RSS leaders when he worked effectively in building RSS Shakhas in Kodagu district in 1959 and 1960 as the Sangh Pracharak.

He went onto become Kshetreeya Karyavah (head of regional unit comprising three states) and also headed the Sangh’s national educational wing Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh. He had also served as president of the Mythic Society.

Narahari was unmarried and remained a bachelor all his life. The last rites of his mortal remains will be conducted at crematorium in Harischandra Ghat at 3 p.m on. October 8.

BJP top leaders have condoled the death of veteran RSS leader.
