The Kerala High Court has begun issuing radio frequency identification (RFID) cards to lawyers, as part of measures to enhance security in the court premises. Flap barriers would be installed at different places in the court premises as part of rolling out the system, it is learnt.

Meanwhile, lawyers who haven’t received the cards demanded steps to fast-track the distribution of the cards. Around 2,300 cards have been issued, while the remaining will be issued shortly, High Court sources said.
