Five devotees were injured when the private jeep in which they were travelling met with an accident on the first ghat road leading to Tirupati on Monday. The accident happened when the driver lost control over the speeding vehicle while negotiating a deep curve and hit against the adjoining parapet wall.
The injured, whose identities are yet to be known, were immediately rushed to the government-run SVRR hospital in Tirupati and their condition is reportedly said to be stable.
