A group of Kannada activists allegedly stormed inside a gaming centre at Koramangala and ransacked its premises on Sunday, triggering panic among customers.

The activists, identified as members of Namma Karnataka Sene, had engaged in a heated argument with the staff and security of the centre, accusing them of spoiling the future of youth by running a gambling club.

The owner of Golden Aces Poker Room was allegedly roughed up when he tried to reason with the activists as they damaged the furniture of the centre, while customers ran out in fear.

The Hoysala and the Koramangala police reached the spot and brought things under control. The police later detained the accused for violating High Court guidelines and creating ruckus.
