V The Volunteers (VTVO), through its Elders’ Adda Cause initiative, has announced Hiriyara Jaatre 2026, the annual elders’ fest in Bengaluru, on Sunday October 4.

Started in 2017, Hiriyara Jaatre brings senior citizens from old-age homes together for a day of games, sports, entertainment, and cultural performances.

According to the organisers, this year, 800 senior citizens from 40 old-age homes across Bengaluru will come together on Sunday, supported by over 800 volunteers.

“For one day, the elders are not spectators. They are the participants, performers, competitors, and centre of the celebration,” according to the organisers.

The activities will start at New Horizon Gurukul School in Kadubeesanahalli at 7 a.m. and will go on till 5 p.m.
