The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate special inter-State services from October 14 to November 14 to meet the additional travel demand during the Mahanavami, Vijayadashami and Deepavali festive season. The additional services will connect Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai with various destinations in Keralam.

Online reservation facilities have already been launched, allowing passengers to book tickets in advance.

According to a statement issued by the office of the Transport Minister, special buses have been arranged from Bengaluru to Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Nilambur, Ponnani, Ernakulam, Changanassery, Pala, Alappuzha, Kollam, Punalur, Kottarakkara, Cherthala, Haripad, Kottayam, Adoor, Kannur, Payyannur, Kanhangad and Thiruvananthapuram. Additionally, services will operate from Mysuru to Kannur and Madurai. Special services are also available from Chennai to Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. The services to Ernakulam will be operated using multi-axle AC buses.

Special services have been arranged from various depots in Kerala to other States. Buses will operate to Bengaluru from Kozhikode, Nilambur, Ponnani, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Changanassery, Alappuzha, Kollam, Punalur, Kottarakkara, Cherthala, Haripad, Kottayam, Adoor, Kannur, Payyannur, Kanhangad and Thiruvananthapuram. Services will also be available to Mysuru from the Pala and Kannur depots, and to Chennai from Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. The Ernakulam-Chennai service will also be operated using multi-axle AC buses.

On some of these routes, buses will operate on alternate days. KSRTC plans to deploy additional buses if needed, depending on the passenger rush in the coming days.

To avoid last-minute rushes and ensure a comfortable journey, passengers can book tickets in advance via the official website www.keralartc.com or the ‘Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS’ mobile application. A WhatsApp ticketing facility is also available at 9447071021. Passengers can also book tickets directly at all KSRTC reservation counters, the statement said.
