UP CM Yogi lights lamp at Prerna Sthal, launches Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday, September 17, 2026 launched the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ program at Prerna Sthal in Lucknow. Under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, CM Yogi launched the campaign by lighting lamps at the statues of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During this event, Chief Minister interacted with students present at Prerna Sthal. He also shot a video on his mobile phone and distributed chocolates to the students present there.

Congratulating the Prime Minister on his birthday, Chief Minister wished him a healthy and long life and also extended greetings to the people of the state on Vishwakarma Puja. During this event, he said that under the leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister, the country is getting an opportunity to move forward towards the vision of Viksit Bharat. On PM’s birthday, crores of lamps are being lit across the country with positive feelings and energy. Lamps are also being lit at various important places across the state, including Rashtra Prerna Sthal, as well as at the homes of beneficiaries of public welfare schemes. He greeted the Karmayogi workers, beneficiaries and citizens associated with the campaign.

CM Yogi said that it is also the sacred birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma. Describing Lord Vishwakarma as the architect of creation, he described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the architect of New India. He said that under his leadership, the country has created a new identity over the last 12 years and the vision of New India is being witnessed. People from every section can feel proud of this change. India is moving forward today as a country providing leadership in new identity, new infrastructure and modern technology. Describing the PM as the leader of the country’s development journey, he said that with the vision of a self-reliant and developed India, the 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh stand with him.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal, Legislative Council Member Dr. Lal Ji Nirmal, Legislative Council Member Dr. Avinash Singh, MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora, Mahanagar President Anand Dwivedi and others were present on the occasion.
