Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026, bringing home the coveted title after an exciting grand finale held in Vietnam today, September 5. Representing the Dominican Republic, she emerged as the winner after beating Spain’s Elisabeth Reynes, who was the first runner-up, and Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty, who finished as the second runner-up.

Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola crowned Miss World 2026

Joheirry Mola was crowned by her predecessor, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, who won the 72nd Miss World title last year. The official Instagram handle of the Miss India Organisation congratulated Joheirry Mola on her achievement and shared a post online.

In the caption, they wrote, “A new chapter in Miss World history has been crowned. Heartiest congratulations to @joheirry_mola of the Dominican Republic on winning the 73rd Miss World title (sic).”

It further added, “May your year as Miss World be filled with impact, compassion, unforgettable experiences and the power to inspire lives across borders. Congratulations, Joheirry. The crown is yours, and the world now watches your journey begin (sic).”

Miss World 2026: About Top 6 finalists

The Top 6 finalists included Eritrea’s Snit Habteab, who won the People’s Choice award; Spain’s Elisabeth Reynés, representing Europe; Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty, representing Beauty With a Purpose; Vietnam’s Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, representing Asia & Oceania; Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola, representing the Americas & Caribbean; and South Africa’s Romanda Hombir, representing Africa.
