Collector Vandana Garg inaugurated a new state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK), operationalised by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in Tiruvannamalai on Thursday.
A release said the centre, which is equipped with four operational kits, provides a single-window interface for new enrolments, demographic and biometric updates, and grievance redressal.
The centre will operate between 9.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on all days except public holidays. It has facilities such as wheelchair accessibility and dedicated support systems. It will also record grievances for resolution through the Regional Office.
With this launch, UIDAI now operates 13 ASKs across Tamil Nadu, with 17 more facilities scheduled to open shortly.
Managed by M/s Protean eGov Technologies Limited, the centre supports pre-booked online appointments via the official portal (https://bookappointment.uidai.gov.in). Rahul Jayanth Karnak, regional director, UIDAI, was also present, the release said.
