Janmashtami celebrations by Hare Krishna Trust on Sept. 4, 5

Hare Krishna Movement Vice-President Yaduraja Dasa on Wednesday announced that it will organise Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at Gadiraju Palace, MVP Colony on September 4 and 5.

The celebrations have been organised in Visakhapatnam for the past 16 years. Since 2023, keeping the convenience of devotees in mind, the celebrations have been held at two locations: Gadiraju Palace, MVP Colony, Beach Road, and Hare Krishna Vaikuntham, IIM Road, Gambheeram.

Darshan will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both days. A Maha Abhishekam will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 4. According to the organisers, it will use sacred waters from seven rivers, along with other offerings.

A Harinama Japa Mandapam with 108 chanting boards, Jhulan Seva for Bala Gopala, cultural programmes, Utti Mahotsavam and a Krishna Selfie Competition are among the other programmes. Sept. 5 will be observed as Vyasa Puja and Nandotsava. Mr. Yaduraja Dasa appealed to devotees to participate in the celebrations.
