Hyderabad Police Commissioner wishes public on Milad-un-Nabi

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Wednesday (August 26, 2026) wished people on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi.

Describing Prophet Mohammad as “messenger of peace”, Mr. Sajanar said that the proceedings of the annual central milad procession have thus far been peaceful.

He said that the procession reached Charminar from the historic Mecca Masjid at 2p.m.. The police have been working with the Markazi Milad Juloos Committee, he said.

Touching upon the security arrangements, the Police Commissioner said that around 2,000 personnel, including rapid action force, law and order police, traffic police, Task force and SHE Teams have been stationed across the city to keep watch on how the procession unfolds .

He said that instances of rash riding and stunts on two and three wheelers were noticed in the preceeding years. Police personnel have been keeping an eye on this as well. Discouraging the youth from indulging in irresponsible riding, he pointed out that those affected would be the parents of those who indulge in these traffic offences.
