Public sector mining major NMDC conducted a capacity building programme recently as part the three month long campaign it has launched in the run-up to the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2026.

The programme, conducted by the Vigilance Department of NMDC, was to enhance awareness and build capacity among employees on key focus areas identified by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). It offered insights and perspectives to strengthen vigilance, transparency, compliance, ethical conduct and good governance across the organisation. Director (Finance) Anurag Kapil and CVO C. Neelakanta Reddy spoke, the iron ore producer said in a release on Tuesday.

The three month campaign, as a prelude to VAW 2026, is in line with the guidelines of the CVC and aims to promote awareness and reinforce the values of integrity, transparency, probity and good governance. Various awareness and capacity-building initiatives are to be organised as part of the campaign.
