CHENNAI

The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Tuesday met Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to reiterate his request for taking action to curb the politics of “horse trading” in the State.

He told reporters outside the Lok Bhavan in Chennai that he represented to the Governor that no action had been taken on his petition given to Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar regarding the disqualification of S. Kamaraj, who was elected on the ticket of the AMMK and had been supporting the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam-led government contrary to the approach of the AMMK, and on a complaint given to the Guindy police station on May 8 concerning the practice of “horse trading.”
