Stock below Rs 400 gains in volatile market as company incorporates ‘ShauryAstra’ for advanced defence systems

Shares of Hyderabad-based defence electronics company Apollo Micro Systems Limited are trading in the green even in a weak market, after the company announced the incorporation of a new associate entity, ShauryAstra Defence Systems Private Limited. According to information available on the BSE website, Shauryastra Defence Systems Private Limited has been incorporated in India on August 21, 2026, under the Companies Act, 2013. The new company has been set up as a dedicated technology and development entity.

Purchases 3,400 equity shares

Apollo Micro Systems has purchased 3,400 equity shares of Rs 10 each of this new entity. This investment amounts to a total of Rs 34,000.

“Shauryastra Defence Systems Private Limited has been incorporated as a dedicated technology and development entity. The entity will pursue unsolved and futuristic operational problem statements of the Armed Forces, under the leadership of Dr VK Saraswat, former Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Director General, DRDO, while leveraging the Company’s established design, development, manufacturing and integration capabilities,” the company said in an exchange filing. 

Share price today

The stock opened in the green at Rs 386.55 against the previous close of Rs 385.20 on the BSE. Amid a spurt in trading volume of more than 2.29 times, the stock touched an intraday high of Rs 397.65, a gain of Rs 12.45 or 3.23 per cent from the last closing price.

Last seen, the stock held in the green and was trading with a gain of Rs 3.35 at Rs 388.55. The market cap of the company stood at Rs 14,438.50 crore. 

Meanwhile, the BSE has placed the stock under the Short Term Additional Surveillance Measure Stage 1 (ST ASM-1) framework.

The stock’s 14-day relative strength index (RSI) is 44.69. For the uninitiated, a level above 70 is considered overbought or overvalued, and below 30 is defined as oversold or undervalued.

FY26 Revenue surged to Rs 904 crore

Meanwhile, the company’s revenue surged to Rs 904 crore, up 61 per cent year-on-year (YoY) from Rs 562 crore in FY25. Q4FY26 revenue stood at Rs 293 crore, the highest-ever quarterly revenue, up 81 per cent YoY.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 38 crore for Q4FY26, compared with Rs 14 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue surged 81 per cent year-on-year to Rs 293.2 crore from Rs 161.8 crore a year earlier.
