The Ashok Nagar police nabbed a 47-year-old man from Hyderabad for allegedly pasted obscene stickers containing sexually explicit content and a QR code at public places.

The accused has been identified as Shaik Yousuf, a resident of M.J. Colony, Moula Ali, Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, Telangana.

According to the complaint, on August 20, the police on patrol duty noticed several stickers containing a QR code and obscene messages pasted on street lights, CCTV poles and other locations around Garuda Mall.

The stickers allegedly contained sexually explicit language and a mobile phone number, along with a QR code, inviting members of the public to contact.

The police said they collected information through a woman, who contacted the mobile number mentioned on the stickers. The person allegedly told her that he would come near Garuda Mall later that evening.

Based on the information, the police, including the complainant, waited near the mall. The suspect was allegedly found near the Tamil Wesley Church and was detained.
