Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has returned home following successful knee surgery at a hospital in Mumbai. The Chandu Champion actor had recently injured his knee while performing an action sequence on the set of one of his films, necessitating surgery.
News of the injury and his subsequent hospitalisation surfaced a few days ago. He is expected to gradually return to work as he recovers. Due to the injury, the actor has had to halt shooting for a few days. Filming will resume once he has recovered.

According to ANI, his spokesperson said, “Kartik is currently recovering and is expected to resume shooting soon. He injured his knee while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. He underwent successful surgery and has now returned home, where he is resting and recuperating. He will be back on set soon.”
A major career milestone for Kartik Aaryan
On the professional front, Kartik recently won the Best Actor in a Leading Role award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his portrayal of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, in Kabir Khan’s sports biopic Chandu Champion.
Reacting to the achievement on Instagram, Aaryan wrote, “Still can’t believe it… some moments are far bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I’ve cherished for years has finally come true. Forever grateful and thankful… Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion.”
Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming films
Kartik Aaryan’s career is entering a busy phase, with several projects lined up after Chandu Champion earned him the Best Actor honour at the 72nd National Film Awards. According to Sacnilk, his biggest India net grosser remains Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at Rs 260.11 crore, followed by Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 at Rs 184.32 crore and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety at Rs 108.95 crore. Chandu Champion, meanwhile, collected Rs 63.57 crore net in India.
His upcoming slate includes the Kabir Khan sports drama he was shooting when he suffered the knee injury, Anurag Basu’s musical with Sreeleela, Naagzilla and Captain India. The latter, directed by Shimit Amin, is expected to begin filming in September, according to Sacnilk
