Major General G. Srinivas has taken charge as the Commandant of the College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, on Wednesday (October 1, 2025). He will be succeeding Lieutenant General Harsh Chhibber, who has been elevated to Director General Information Systems.

Before his appointment, Major General Srinivas was entrusted with the planning and execution of operational logistics in the Western Command theatre, including during the recent Operation Sindoor.

An alumnus of the College of Defence Management as well as the National Defence College, Major General Srinivas is a Gunner Officer with a decorated service career. His professional experience covers diverse areas such as joint operational planning, defence management and strategic leadership, which he will now channel into shaping the next generation of military leaders.

The College of Defence Management (CDM) is a premier training institution of the Indian Armed Forces, tasked with equipping senior officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force with modern management concepts, practices and leadership skills. It plays a vital role in introducing contemporary management thought into the higher echelons of military leadership.
