Twenty-one CBI personnel were awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and Medal for Meritorious Service this year.
The prestigious medals to recognise the contributions of law enforcement personnel are awarded annually on the occasion of Independence Day.
The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service was conferred on Assistant Inspector General of Police Shobha Dutta, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Banerjee, Additional Superintendent of Police Ginni Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Samal, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramesh Chand, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Madan Lal Dhiman.
Those awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service were Deputy Legal Adviser Brijesh Singh; Senior System Analyst Girish Joshi; Deputy Superintendents of Police Manoj Kumar, Om Prakash Chandra, Zahir Akhtar Ansari, and Ashish Anand; Inspector Sarita Yadav; Sub-Inspector Roshan Kumar; Assistant Sub-Inspector Dilbar Singh Bisht; Head Constables Balkar Singh, Govind Singh Bisht, and Kamlesh Kumar Gurjar; and Constables Pal Pandian R, Ajay Kumar Singh, and Kalyanadurgam Samiullah.
