The Njarackal police have arrested two men for allegedly stabbing an 80-year-old man, the father of a lawyer who has taken up a domestic violence case against one of the accused.
Duster and Dynaster, both from Puthuvype, were arrested on charge of attacking Mohandas, the father of T.M. Dolgo, the lawyer, at his residence at Murikkumpadam near Puthuvype around 5.30 p.m. on Thursday (August 13). He suffered injuries to the chest and neck.
According to the first information report (FIR), the accused allegedly trespassed into the house of Mr. Mohandas in search of Mr. Dolgo, who was away from home at that time.
They then allegedly dragged Mohandas outside and stabbed him repeatedly. The police suspect that the accused wanted to attack Mr. Dolgo for representing the estranged wife of Mr. Duster in a matrimonial dispute case.
Mr. Mohandas has been admitted to a private hospital.
The accused have been booked for attempt to murder and criminal trespass.
