Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by State Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, is scheduled to visit New Delhi on Tuesday (September 30). During the visit, Mr. Naidu is expected to attend the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) summit and may also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition, he is likely to hold discussions with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The visit comes ahead of the State government’s planned GST 2.0 programme in Kurnool on October 16, for which Mr. Naidu is expected to formally invite Prime Minister Modi. Meanwhile, Mr. Lokesh is scheduled to meet several Central Ministers during his stay in New Delhi as part of the official engagements.
The trip highlights the Andhra Pradesh government’s emphasis on strengthening Central-State coordination on economic and developmental initiatives in advance of key State-level programmes.
