Bengaluru is buzzing with civic action on the ground, be it special drives clearing footpaths, garbage or abandoned vehicles, earning both praise and criticism. The man at the forefront of these drives is the new Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda.

Readers can ask questions to Mr. Gowda on August 13 as he participates in The Hindu’s interactive programme ‘THTalksBengaluru.’

A six-time MLA, elected four times from Byatarayanapura in Bengaluru, Mr. Gowda has earlier held key portfolios of Revenue, Agriculture and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj. For the first time, he holds the key to Bengaluru, as civic polls will hopefully be held at least this year.
