The government has said that digital resurvey of land that is under way in the State will continue. In a statement here on Friday, the office of the Revenue Minister said the services of contract staff deployed for the survey had been temporarily stopped as part of a revamp.

The Survey and Land Records Director had been asked to submit a detailed proposal to complete the project in a cost-effective and time-bound manner ensuring the use of all costly survey equipment purchased by the government and utilise the services of permanent surveyors in the department more effectively. Till the proposal is submitted and a final decision taken, the digital resurvey would continue utilising the services of permanent surveyors in the department.
