Tributes paid to A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on death anniversary

Political leaders across Andhra Pradesh on Monday paid tributes to former President and Bharat Ratna A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary, recalling his contributions to science, technology and nation-building.

In a post on X, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu described Dr. Kalam as the “Missile Man of India”, whose scientific achievements earned global recognition for the country. He said Dr. Kalam’s simplicity, integrity and humanitarian outlook won him the affection of people across the nation, making him the “People’s President”. Mr. Naidu paid homage to the former President and said his legacy would continue to inspire generations.

YSR Congress Party president and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, in a post on X, described Dr. Kalam as an inspiring visionary whose contributions to science and technology would continue to motivate generations. He said Dr. Kalam’s vision for India’s development and his values would remain a guiding force for the nation.

Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh president P. V. N. Madhav, in a post on X, paid homage to the former President, saying Dr. Kalam’s unwavering faith in the power of youth and his vision of a developed India continued to inspire people. He said the scientist-statesman’s ideals and commitment to national progress would remain relevant for generations to come.
