Maharaja’s College governing council members nominated

The State government has nominated members of the governing council of Maharaja’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam, with P.S. Gopinathan, former judge of the Kerala High Court, as chairman.

The other nominated members include S. Pappachan (industrialist), A. Vijayakumar (educationist), Dr. Anitha M.N. and Vinod Kumar Kallolickal (teacher representatives), and Nitha M. (State government nominee). The Principal of the college has been nominated as member secretary of the council, while an administrative assistant will be the administrative staff representative of the panel.

The government in an order said on Saturday (July 18, 2026) that the Director of Collegiate Education could reconstitute the governing council with the nominated members, along with nominees of Mahatma Gandhi University and the college Principal.
