The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad will host its eighth convocation on its campus at Kanjikode on Saturday (July 18, 2026). Tessy Thomas, Director General (Aeronautical Systems), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), will deliver the convocation address. IIT Palakkad Director A. Seshadri Sekhar will present a report.
Ramesh Venkateswaran, chairperson of the board of governors, IIT Palakkad, will preside over the function.
As many as 307 students from BTech, MTech, MSc, MS, and PhD programmes will graduate this year. Dr. Thomas will also present the medals to the students with outstanding academic achievements.
