The Thirumudivakkam Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association hosted TEXPO 2026, one of Tamil Nadu’s significant business-to-business industrial exhibitions, at the SIDCO Industrial Estate in Thirumudivakkam near Chennai.

The exhibition featured around 299 exhibitors. “We have received around 2,000 registrations, and all the participants are from various industries,” said R. Selvam, chairman of TEXPO 2026.

Kancheepuram Collector D. Sneha thanked the participants for contributing to the region’s economic development. “Such expos will help MSMEs forge more collaborations,” she said.

R.V. Chari, chairman of Confederation of Indian Industries Chennai Zone, said automation, artificial intelligence, and new product development were the way forward. He also suggested leveraging college students for frugal automation, adding that industries should seek their support.

S. Vasudevan, Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries Association president, said more public sector companies should be invited to participate in such events.
