Aerospace and defence components maker Sigma Advanced Systems is acquiring U.K firm Bromford Precision Solutions for ₹153 crore.

The transaction is expected to be closed by this month, subject to customary closing conditions, Sigma said, announcing signing of a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% stake in Bromford.

Operated from its facility in Leicestershire, Bromford specialises in manufacturing complex aeroengine ring components and other complex precision-machined aeroengine structures such as compressor casings, ducts, brackets and lock plates.

Sigma intends to transition select component manufacturing to India in line to optimise costs and enhance competitiveness and to drive margin expansion. Bromford’s experienced management team will continue to lead day-to-day operations, supported by the broader Sigma leadership team, the Hyderabad-based company.

“Bromford brings precision manufacturing capability that complements us directly,” Sigma Advanced Systems CEO Sunil Kalidindi said.
