Minister for Housing and Urban Development B. Rajkumar on Saturday inaugurated Ayush facilities at Primary Health Centres in Cuddalore district.

The facilities include an Ayurveda building at Thiruvanthipuram PHC, a Yoga and Naturopathy building at Vadalur PHC, and a Homeopathy building at Karaikadu PHC.

Each of the three buildings, with a total area of 45.43 sq.metres, has been constructed at an estimated cost of ₹15 lakh each under the National Ayush Mission. The buildings are equipped with essential facilities such as consultation rooms, pharmacy, waiting halls, and toilets.

Inaugurating the buildings, Mr. Rajkumar said the State Government had taken steps to upgrade infrastructure in government hospitals and primary health centres to ensure the public receive accessible and high-quality medical services. He said that the services in government hospitals must be monitored to ensure treatment is provided without any hindrance.

He said that special camps were being conducted through Ayush in government schools to treat students for anemia, low immunity and learning difficulties. On an average, over 100 persons receive treatment in Ayush facilities in PHCs, he added.

Cuddalore Collector Sibi Adhithya Senthil Kumar was present.
