The makers of the highly anticipated film, Dune Part 3, have finally dropped the official trailer, giving fans a first glimpse of Denis Villeneuve’s epic sci-fi trilogy. Starring Timothee Chalamet as Paul Atreides, the trailer hints at a darker and more emotionally intense journey, while also showcasing key moments featuring Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and the franchise’s iconic giant sandworms.
Based on Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, Dune: Part Three takes place several years after the events of Dune: Part Two. The film explores the consequences of Paul Atreides’ rise to power as he struggles with political conspiracies, a holy war, and the heavy burden of his destiny.

Dune Part 3 is scheduled to be released in theatres on December 18, 2026. Sharing the official trailer on YouTube, the makers wrote, “Forgive me for all I’ve done” Experience the epic conclusion. The trailer has received an overwhelmingly positive response on social media. One user wrote, “This is what cinema is supposed to feel like.” Another YouTube user praised Timothée Chalamet’s performance, commenting, “There’s something really fascinating with Timothée’s acting in this trailer, the way he talks, walks and his eyes… That’s a really powerful way to show how much Paul has changed after so many years of war. Dune 3: What is the plot?
According to IMDb, Emperor Paul must confront the far-reaching impact of his decisions while trying to protect a future that only he can foresee. Apart from Timothée Chalamet, the film also stars Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Robert Pattinson, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Florence Pugh and Ida Brooke in key roles.
Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya’s work front
On the work front, Timothee Chalamet will be voicing the lead character, Joe, in Illumination’s upcoming animated sci-fi comedy film, Not Alone alongside Selena Gomez. The film is scheduled to be released on April 16, 2027.
Meanwhile, Zendaya has a busy release slate this month with two major films in the pipeline. She will next be seen in The Odyssey, releasing on July 17, 2026, followed by Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to hit theatres on July 30, 2026.
