Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said they have undertaken a sacred mission to secure property rights for landowners. “By March 2027, we will distribute 72,70,605 Pattadar passbooks across 9,833 villages,” he said, adding the goal of the NDA’s people-centric government is to transform Andhra Pradesh into a State free from land disputes.

Mr. Naidu participated in the ‘Mee Bhumi – Mee Hakku’ (Your Land – Your Right) programme held in Banaganapalle of Nandyal district. Addressing a public meeting, Mr. Naidu said the government is issuing land ownership passbooks bearing the official State emblem to ensure that people retain authority over their own property.

“For the past two years, the people have been receiving the benefits of welfare, development, and good governance. The misdeeds of the previous rulers had become a curse for the public. To intimidate those who opposed them, the previous rulers have classified their lands under the ‘22-A’ category. They created disputes in attempts to usurp lands and introduced a draconian ‘Land Titling Act,’ creating panic and fear about the potential loss of private property,” he said.

The Chief Minister said they have repealed the oppressive law immediately after assuming power and are moving forward to resolve land disputes.

He said they are working towards the development of all regions alongside resolving land-related issues across the State. “We are transforming the face of Rayalaseema. Projects like the Kadapa Steel Plant, Hero Motors, and the AMCA defence fighter jet plant are being established. With projects and employment opportunities in sectors such as defence, aerospace, electronics, and automobiles, Rayalaseema is set to prosper,” he said.

Drought-like conditions have prevailed due to El Niño and rainfall was 22% below normal this season. “There is a need for judicious water usage, which is why we launched the ‘Jaladhara’ programne statewide. I congratulate the district administration in Nandyal for constructing an 18-kilometre feeder channel and check dams. Water security can be achieved by recharging groundwater with rainwater,” the Chief Minister said.

Launching a tirade against the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), he said the party is trying to divide society through conspiracies and machinations based on caste, religion, region, and class. “The previous rulers did not take any action against the culprits involved in incidents like the burning of the Antarvedi (temple) chariot, the theft of silver lions from the Durga temple (Vijayawada), and the vandalising of the Lord Rama idol at Ramatheertham. They adulterated the Tirupati Venkateswara Swamy laddu and hurt Hindu sentiments,” he said.

Mr. Naidu said they are acting swiftly and sternly against those involved in sacrilegious acts. “Two days ago, a miscreant committed a sacrilegious act in Adoni by lighting a cigarette using a lamp in a Shiva temple. We immediately registered a case and arrested the person,” he said and added the alliance government will not spare anyone who engages in malicious acts intended to incite religious hatred.

On Youtuber Ravan, the Chief Minister said, ‘’Ravan vilifies our Puranas and speaks about Lord Rama and Sita with utter disregard, and even supports terrorism and Pakistan. The ‘Axe Party’ (YSRCP) is providing financial assistance to such people.”

Ministers Payyavula Keshav, Anagani Satyaprasad, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, and NMD Farooq, MP Byreddy Shabari and local MLAs attended the event.
