The Karnataka Lokayukta Police on Wednesday carried out simultaneous searches at more than 53 locations across the State in connection with Disproportionate Assets (DA) cases registered against 10 government officials serving in various departments.

The raids were conducted at the residences, offices and properties of relatives of the accused officials in Bengaluru city, Chitradurga, Kalaburagi, Bengaluru South, Shivamogga, Raichur and Tumakuru districts.

According to the Lokayukta Police, the searches revealed immoveable assets worth ₹37.95 crore and moveable assets worth ₹11.88 crore, taking the total value of assets traced during the operation to approximately ₹49.83 crore.

The Lokayukta Police said further investigation is under way to ascertain the extent of disproportionate assets allegedly acquired by the accused in violation of provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
