Mor Gregorios Gabriel was consecrated as the Metropolitan of the Angamaly Diocese (Muvattupuzha region) of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church on Tuesday (June 30).
The consecration was performed by Mor Baselious Joseph Metropolitan at St. Athanasius Cathedral, Puthen Cruz, near here. Bishops of the Church were among those present at the ceremony.
The consecration ceremony, which began with prayers at 7 a.m., concluded at noon.
