O.V. Vijayan’s birthday to be celebrated on July 2

The OV Vijayan Memorial Committee will celebrate the birthday of legendary Malayalam writer O.V. Vijayan at Thasrak near here on July 2. District Collector Sudhir K. will inaugurate the event titled ‘Khasak, a pictorial epic’.

Committee president T.K. Narayanadas will preside over the function. Writer Susmesh Chandroth will deliver the memorial address. Critic Asha Menon will deliver the commemorative lecture.

Writers such as P.A. Vasudevan, C.P. Chitrabhanu, T.K. Shankaranarayanan, Sreekrishnapuram Krishnankutty, Raghunathan Parali, K.P. Ramesh, P. Murali, C.P. Chitra, Jyothibai Pariyadath, Suresh Kodur, Mohandas Sreekrishnapuram, Rajesh Menon, P.V. Sukumaran, P.R. Jayasheelan, Manoj Veettikkad and M. Sivakumar will share their memories and reflections on the life and literary legacy of Vijayan.
