The State Cabinet approved installation of adaptive traffic signals at 110 busy junctions in Bengaluru city, to ease traffic movement.
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil said the adaptive traffic signals will be set up at a cost of ₹56.45 crore.
He said a sum of ₹20 crore has been approved for Institute of Gastroenterology Sciences and Organ Transplant (IGOT), Bengaluru, for providing robotic and other equipment.
A sum of ₹23.36 crore has been approved for O&M of a 90-million-litre sewage treatment plant at Bellandur, run by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), for a five-year-period.
The Cabinet approved ₹15 crore for a utility wastewater treatment plant at Horamavu in the city, run by the BWSSB, for a five-year period.
A sum of ₹300 crore was approved for treating sewage to fill tanks in Bengaluru Rural and Urban and Chickballapur districts, under a World Bank aided project.
