Cyberabad Police on Saturday conducted an awareness programme for private security agencies, security guards and CCTV vendors in Quthbullapur zone, urging them to strengthen coordination with law enforcement and ensure strict compliance with security regulations.

The programme, held at CMR Technical Campus in Kandlakoya, Medchal, was attended by around 300 participants.

Addressing the gathering, Qutbullapur DCP N. Koti Reddy said registration of all private security agencies under the Private Security Agencies Regulation (PSAR) Act, 2005, is mandatory and directed agencies to strictly adhere to the provisions of the law. He explained the legal responsibilities of private security personnel through real-life case studies and highlighted their role in crime prevention.

Police instructed security personnel to maintain visitor registers, verify the identity of visitors before allowing entry into restricted premises and immediately report suspicious persons, unattended objects or security threats to the local police or the control room.

The police further directed CCTV vendors and security agencies to ensure surveillance cameras installed at entry and exit points remain functional at all times, report technical faults without delay and maintain emergency contact numbers for prompt coordination with law enforcement.

Cyberabad Police said effective coordination between private security agencies, security guards, CCTV vendors and the police is essential for strengthening the security network and ensuring public safety across the Quthbullapur zone. Participants welcomed the initiative and assured the police of their continued cooperation.
