Parts of Hyderabad received light to moderate rainfall on Wednesday evening, after a largely cloudy day across the city.

The drizzle began around 7 p.m. in several areas, including Secunderabad, Begumpet, Nacharam, Uppal, Nagole and neighbouring localities, and continued into the night. As predicted by the India Meteorological Department, the city saw overcast skies since morning.

The rainfall also affected sporting activity, briefly disrupting the Telangana T20 League cricket match between Nalgonda Knights and Karimnagar Diamonds at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal.

According to data from Telangana Development Planning Society, as of 10 p.m., Rajiv Gandhi International Airport recorded the highest rainfall of 26 mm followed by 17 mm in Nadergul, 15.5 mm in Adibatla, 11 mm in Hayathnagar, 10.8 mm in Nagole, 7 mm in Kistareddipet and 5 mm in Filmnagar.
