The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has filed a complaint seeking the registration of a case against Hindu Aikya Vedi leader R.V. Babu, who allegedly made remarks against the Muslim community after Samastha president Jifri Muthukoya Thangal participated in a campaign with Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala as part of the State government’s anti-narcotics enforcement drive, Operation Toofan.

PDP Central Committee member Ashraf Vazhakkala lodged the complaint with the State Police Chief (SPC) and the Thrikkakara Assistant Commissioner of Police. According to the complaint, Mr. Babu made the allegedly defamatory remarks through his Facebook account, casting the Muslim community in a bad light.
