The State government transferred the Chief Executive Officer of the Kerala State Waqf Board and gave the charge to an officer to protect its political interests in the Munambam Waqf holding, alleged PDP State secretary V. M. Aliyar. The CEO was transferred at a time when the Union Ministry for Minority Affairs had sought an explanation from the Board regarding the uploading of the details of the Munambam holding in the central portal of the Ministry, he alleged.

The Board shall be allowed to present its arguments to the Ministry, he said. He also criticised the three Vice-Chancellors of Kerala for participating in a function in which the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat attended. PDP leaders Muhammad Rajeeb and T. A. Mujeeb Rahman attended the press conference.
