The Vizhinjam police have arrested seven youths in connection with a violent clash that occurred at Adimalathura Beach on June 9.

Those arrested have been identified as Faizal, 33; John Britto, 29; Sanal Raj, 19; Shaji, 25; Albin, 25; Anu Denson, 22; and Clinton, 19.

According to the police, the dispute broke out among the group while they were consuming alcohol at the beach around 4 p.m. The confrontation escalated into a full-blown street fight, with rival factions attacking each other using beer bottles, wooden sticks, and nunchucks.

Following the incident, complaints were registered by both sides. This led the police to track down and detain seven accused who were allegedly involved in the brawl.

Faizal and Anu Denson have documented criminal backgrounds and figure on the rowdy history sheet at the Vizhinjam police station. All the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
