Venezuela’s Acting President visits SSSIHL, lauds value-based education model

Delcy Rodríguez, Acting President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, visited the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) at Vidyagiri in Prasanthi Nilayam on Sunday.

R. J. Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, accompanied Ms. Rodríguez to the Institute’s Administrative Office, where she was welcomed by Vice-Chancellor B. Raghavendra Prasad, Registrar Srikanth Khanna and senior faculty members.

The delegation was briefed on the growth and achievements of SSSIHL, including its approach to value-based education, research initiatives, academic programmes, community outreach activities and future plans.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Rodríguez expressed gratitude for the opportunity to visit Prasanthi Nilayam and the Institute. She appreciated SSSIHL’s emphasis on integrating human values with higher education and showed interest in its research activities.

Referring to the challenges facing education systems worldwide, she stressed the need for an educational framework rooted in human values. She commended the Institute for combining academic excellence with character development and noted the positive impact of its educational model on students and society.

The visit also provided an opportunity for interaction and exchange of ideas on education, service and human development.
