Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit Siddantham village in Achanta constituency of West Godavari district on Monday to participate in the “Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku” (Your Land–Your Right) programme and distribute new Pattadar Passbooks to farmers.

According to an official release, the State government has undertaken a re-survey of land records to rectify errors in passbooks issued during the previous regime. The revised passbooks are being issued after land details are verified in the presence of farmers and with their consent. As part of the programme, the Chief Minister has been personally interacting with farmers and overseeing the verification process before the distribution of the passbooks.

Officials said re-surveys have been completed in 6,688 villages since January. Over the past six months, new Pattadar Passbooks have been distributed to 26.46 lakh farmers in 6,459 villages. The government has set a target of completing re-surveys in another 10,357 villages over the next nine months and issuing 67.32 lakh passbooks.

Blockchain-based system

Officials said Andhra Pradesh is the first State in the country to implement a blockchain-based land records system. Under the initiative, every land parcel is assigned a permanent blockchain identification number, making records tamper-proof. The process also includes mandatory e-KYC verification at every stage, from survey to finalisation of records. Draft passbooks are issued to farmers first, while final passbooks are printed only after verification and approval through e-KYC.

According to the schedule, Mr. Naidu will leave Amaravati at 10.25 a.m. and arrive at Siddantham at 11 a.m. He will address a public meeting at 11.15 a.m., interact with farmers at 2.30 p.m., and later hold a review meeting with TDP leaders before returning to Amaravati in the evening.
