The long-standing strategic collaboration between KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research (KAHER) and Thomas Jefferson University (TJU), has fostered world-class research across multiple disciplines, said Leonard G. Gomella, professor and Chair Emeritus of Urology, Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Centre, TJU, on Friday (June 5).

He was responding to KAHER conferring the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) (Honoris Causa) on him during its 16th convocation.

He noted that the partnership had expanded significantly over the years, with several joint research projects under way in the fields of urology, neurology, radiology, psychiatry, public health, physiotherapy, nursing, and integrative health.

Dr. Gomella informed that the collaboration has resulted in over 155 joint publications and more than 1,000 funded research initiatives. He further noted that the partnership has enhanced educational opportunities, faculty exchange programmes, and community-oriented activities involving faculty members, academicians, and students of both institutions. Expressing confidence in the future of this collaboration, he stated that the partnership would continue to grow stronger and reach greater heights in the years ahead.
